Jemaah Bunuh Diri



Seorang wanita dari Cina dalam lingkungan umur 40an telah membunuh diri dari aras atas mataf sementara. Wanita itu berdiri di atas kerusi dan memanjat dinding sebelum melompat.

Satu sumber menyatakan beliau mengalami penyakit mental, beliau datang mengerjakan ibadah Umrah bersama suami dan anak perempuan berumur 2 tahun dan tidak pernah mengerjakan Umrah sebelum ini.

Bas Jemaah Umrah Kemalangan

Two pilgrims — an Egyptian woman and a Filipino child — died and 37 others injured when their bus collided with a huge truck in Dhalam near Taif on Thursday, said Siraj Al-Humaidan, spokesman of the head department in Taif.

The early morning accident occurred while the bus carrying pilgrims belong to different nationalities including Pakistanis, Indians and Bangladeshis was heading to Makkah for the pilgrims to perform Umrah.

He said nine of the injured have been transported to various hospitals in Taif for treatment while other cases were taken to Dhalam General Hospital.

“We have sent 13 medical teams to the site to provide various health services to the accident victims,” Al-Humaidan said, adding that 21 first-aid service teams were also deployed for treating the injured.

In February 2014, seven Pakistanis died when their bus, carrying 49 people, collided with a truck on the Makkah-Madinah highway.

In a separate incident last year, four Omanis died when their family minibus collided with two trucks. In 2013, ten people lost their lives after an accident involving several cars on the highway between Makkah and the coastal town of Allaiyth.

Four years ago, 13 Syrians died in another accident in Al-Jouf.  Four pilgrims where also killed in a accident in 2010 on the main road between Makkah and Madinah. Back in 2002, nineteen pilgrims died and 22 others injured when their bus collided with a truck. Ten of the killed were Egyptians along with two Jordanians and a Saudi, a Sudanese and a Syrian.

Pesawat Air Asia Ke Jeddah Patah Balik

KUALA LUMPUR | Pesawat AirAsia X Penerbangan D7172/XAX172 yang dalam perjalanan menuju ke Jeddah dari Kuala Lumpur selamat mendarat di Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Kuala Lumpur 2 (KLIA2) selepas kira-kira lima jam berlegar-legar di ruang udara Selat Melaka.

Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif AirAsia Tan Sri Tony Fernandes semasa dihubungi mengesahkan perkara itu dan menganggapnya sebagai rutin biasa bagi pesawat Airbus 330-343 untuk kembali ke pangkalan.

"Ia boleh meneruskan perjalanan ke Jeddah, tetapi kami berpendapat lebih baik ia berpatah balik, tiada yang luar biasa," katanya menerusi khidmat pesanan ringkas (SMS) kepada Bernama hari ini.

Berita mengenai insiden itu tersebar luas dalam media sosial, dan pemantauan menerusi laman web radarflight 24 menunjukkan pesawat itu yang berlepas dari KLIA2 pada 12.20 tengah hari telah berpatah balik dan berlegar-legar di ruang udara Selat Melaka.

Ia sepatutnya mendarat di Jeddah pada 11.15 malam.

Sementara itu, Menteri Pengangkutan Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai di dalam akaun Twitter beliau berkata beliau dimaklumkan bahawa pesawat AirAsia Penerbangan
D7172/XAX172 menghadapi masalah teknikal dan terpaksa berlegar-legar di ruang udara Selat Melaka.

"(Bagaimanapun) pesawat itu selamat mendarat di klia2," katanya dalam catatan pada 5.51 petang.
